Hi ASP.NET Zero Team, We wanted to check if there are any plans on your roadmap to introduce official support for microfrontend architecture in Angular-based ASP.NET Zero projects. With the increasing adoption of microfrontend patterns in large-scale applications, it would be valuable to understand if and when this might be considered for ASP.NET Zero, along with any potential tooling or integration guidance. Additionally, I’d like to ask if there are any plans to support Angular library projects within the ASP.NET Zero solution structure. This would be really helpful for organizing reusable components and services across different modules or microfrontends in a cleaner, maintainable way. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts or any tentative timelines you might be able to share on these features.
Thank you very much!

Hi @sachin.kulkarni
Thank you for reaching out and for your valuable suggestions.
At the moment, there is no official support for micro frontend architecture or Angular library projects within the ASP.NET Zero solution. However, we do recognize the growing relevance of these patterns, especially in large-scale and modular applications.
While we don't have a specific timeline or commitment right now, we can think about how these scenarios can be supported in the future in a way that is compatible with the ASP.NET Zero architecture and tools.
Best Regards

Hi ASP.NET Zero Team,
It has been almost two years since this discussion, so I wanted to follow up and check whether there have been any updates regarding official support for Microfrontend Architecture in ASP.NET Zero with Angular and .NET Core.
Specifically, we would like to know:
- Is Microfrontend Architecture now officially supported in the latest ASP.NET Zero versions with Angular and .NET Core?
- Are there any recommended approaches or integrations, such as Webpack Module Federation, for implementing microfrontends?
- Can independently developed and deployed Angular microfrontends be integrated with the existing ASP.NET Zero backend and authentication/authorization mechanisms?
- Is there any official documentation, sample implementation, or recommended project structure available?
- Is there any roadmap for official support if it is still not available?
We are evaluating a scalable, modular architecture for a large enterprise application and would prefer to follow an approach that is compatible with ASP.NET Zero rather than introducing custom implementations that may create maintenance challenges during future upgrades.
Since this topic was raised two years ago, we would appreciate an updated response on the current capabilities and recommendations.
Thank you!
