Hello, I am trying to publish the application I am working on (ASP.NET Core / Angular 2 / .NET 4.6) to IIS on my local machine. I followed the steps online to publish to IIS. Once I run the application, I get this error:
HTTP Error 502.5 - Process Failure
Common causes of this issue:
The application process failed to start
The application process started but then stopped
The application process started but failed to listen on the configured port
Troubleshooting steps:
Check the system event log for error messages
Enable logging the application process’ stdout messages
Attach a debugger to the application process and inspect

I then check the Event Viewer and see this error:
Application 'MACHINE/WEBROOT/APPHOST/DEFAULT WEB SITE/DRC' with physical root 'C:\inetpub\wwwroot\drc\' failed to start process with commandline '"%LAUNCHER_PATH%" %LAUNCHER_ARGS%', ErrorCode = '0x80070002 : 0.
Any idea what's going on?

I had to change this in the web.config file to use the .exe to run the app:
<aspNetCore processPath=".\DrcApp.Web.Host.exe" stdoutLogEnabled="true" stdoutLogFile=".\logs\stdout" forwardWindowsAuthToken="false"/>why is that?

This is needed to host aspnet core application. It has nothing to do with Aspnet Zero. Please read below link for further information
