Does a hosting support MVC 6 as long as it supports .NET4? #793

Hi there..

How can I know if a shared hosting supports MVC6? Many hosting companies only state that they support .Net 4.5, 4.0, 3.5, 3.0, 2.0 Framework and ASP.NET like asphostportal.com or hostforlife.eu . They don't state specifically if they support MVC6. Did they really support ?

Coming from the PHP world, I'm still very new to ASP.net and its MVC framework. Is it right to say that as long as the server supports ASP.net and .NET 4.0 and above, all I have to do is just upload my web application (the asp files) together with MVC5 framework binaries to my account and it will work?

In other words, the server doesn't really need to "support" MVC6, but just need the .NET 4 runtime?

I think this is not a topic of this forum since not related to ABP framework. You can get better answer on stackoverflow or asp.net forum. My answer: MVC6 is not released yet (and ABP has no MVC6 support), so it's normal that hosting companies don't support a framework which is not released.
