Hi, I've added a button download Excel sheet with some data. Actually last time I checked the code was yesterday night and it was working fine. I was able to download the excel.
Today, when I try to download, and while debugging I can see that the SaveAs method works fine and the file type is of type: "application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.spreadsheetml.sheet"
Then on the client side, I get redirected to a page: <a class="postlink" href="https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/errorpage.htm?llcc=en-US">https://view.officeapps.live.com/op/err ... llcc=en-US</a>
The Excel is not downloaded and I get redirected. What's there that I should do more?
Thanks
Hi, I am planning to develop a simple app in Xamarin. I need to connect to the same database as my web app. Also, I want to authenticate my users against the same DB using same AppServices, etc.
Is this possible? Any helpful examples or documentation on this topic please?
Hi, I read the documentation on OU. What are possible uses of this feature? Can you please illustrate with some examples?
Thanks
Hi, I downloaded the latest release. I added all my changes from existing solution files + entities into the EntityFramework.
Then, I hit Update-Database, I get an exception as shown below.
The weird thing is that, the Default connection string points to localhost server and not to .\SqlExpress, how come Update-Database (While selecting .EntityFramework project) doesn't read the actual connectionstring from .Web?
Also, when I try something like this:
PM> Update-Database -Verbose -ConnectionStringName "Default"
I receive:
No connection string named 'Default' could be found in the application config file.
PM> Update-Database -Verbose

Hello,
I am now running an application using the release of 2 versions before.
Now, in case I want to make use of the latest source code, I am thinking of the following strategy, please have a look at it and let me know if im missing something:
Any step missing above? Shall I need to do any Update-Database? Shall I override the existing .sln files?
Many thanks Bilal
Hi, In doing an effort to modularize my app more, I'm making use of a blog module that has the path of: App/Main/views/blog/blog.cshtml and blog.js
Inside blog.js:
(function() {
angular.module('app').config([
'$stateProvider',
function ($stateProvider) {
$stateProvider
.state('blog', {
url: '#/blog',
templateUrl: '~/App/Main/views/blog/blog.cshtml',
menu: 'SampleBlog.AdminPage'
});
}
]);
angular.module('app').controller('app.views.blog', [
'$scope', 'abp.services.blog.post',
function ($scope, postService) {
var vm = this;
vm.posts = [];
postService.getPosts({
maxResultCount: 1000
}).success(function(result) {
vm.posts = result.items;
});
}
]);
})();
Also, the BlogNavigationProvider looks like this:
public class BlogNavigationProvider : NavigationProvider
{
public override void SetNavigation(INavigationProviderContext context)
{
context.Manager.MainMenu.Items.Add(
new MenuItemDefinition(
"SampleBlog.AdminPage",
new FixedLocalizableString("Blog"),
url: "/blog",
icon: "fa fa-list"
)
);
}
}
The menu "Blog" appears in the backend. But when I click on it, it says
Error: Could not resolve '/blog' from state 'host.tenants'
I marked both blog.cshtml and blog.js as Embedded resources.
What else should be done?
Thanks
Hello,
I am trying to re-do the Blog Module created by <a class="postlink" href="https://github.com/hikalkan">https://github.com/hikalkan</a> and hosted on <a class="postlink" href="https://github.com/aspnetboilerplate/sample-blog-module">https://github.com/aspnetboilerplate/sample-blog-module</a>.
I added the .Core, .Application and .Web modules. For the EntityFramework, I decided to include the Posts, Categories and Comments entities as part of the main App Db Context, as I mighit have entities from one module to be shared by another module, so this way, all modules will be using same Dbcontext.
The problem is the Blog module defines its own BlogUser and BlogRole and the exception below shows that. How to work around this?
Also, if I include those tables in main DbContext, how would Blog module be able to access the DbContext?
I got lost a bit.
I do care a lot to have my modules separate so that I can upgrade main framework files with every new release you have to benefit from bug fixes and new features.
I appreciate your assistance. Thank

Hello,
Is there a guide on how to integrate Kendo UI CSS and JS files into an ASP.NET MVC / Angualr js 1.x to use their Grids and other controls instead of those that ship from metronic?
Thank you Bilal
hi, I am creating a new tenant from host interface using the admin account.
I set my own password and don't force the system to send activation email.
When I try to login with the admin/password I put, I get an error. Here is the details of the exception from log file.
Where shall I look to know what's going on?
I tried creating around 4 tenants and same problem with all!
Inside VS, when I debug the code, I get the result of LockedOut. How come first time I try to login I get locked out?
private async Task<AbpLoginResult<Tenant, User>> GetLoginResultAsync(string usernameOrEmailAddress, string password, string tenancyName)
{
var loginResult = await _logInManager.LoginAsync(usernameOrEmailAddress, password, tenancyName);
switch (loginResult.Result)
{
case AbpLoginResultType.Success:
return loginResult;
default:
throw _abpLoginResultTypeHelper.CreateExceptionForFailedLoginAttempt(loginResult.Result, usernameOrEmailAddress, tenancyName);
}
}

Hi, I saw today the Blog Module on GitHub. It is developed as having its own .Core, .Application, etc. projects.
Thanks Bilal
