I have had a problem with publishing of aspnet.core appliacation on IIS (I use ASP.NET Angular framework) I have tried to publish on two versions of aspnet.core : 10.5.0 and 11.0.0 (without any of my own modifications). Both versions are demo versions. I tried to publish it on my local station (windows 10 profesional) and windows server 2019 standard
All the time I got http error 500 status code=404

I don't have any problem if I publish simple web core application (core 5 or 6) "hello world" type. I read a whole turtorial https://docs.aspnetzero.com/en/aspnet-core-angular/latest/Deployment-Angular-Publish-IIS. What is wrong ?

Hi @flaskone
Sorr for the late reply. Could you check server side logs in Logs.txt under App_Data/Logs folder on your deployed Host application ? It should contain the details about HTTP 500 error.

Hi On my production server I set log4net.Production.config on the real path. Now I have logs.txt file generation enabled. I found description of a problem with login to sql server. Yesterday I repaired it. Today I have only few WARN(s), but the problem still exist.

Hi,
It seems like you have solved the login problem but your IIS AppPool doesn't have required permissions. This is the error message in the Log file;
The SELECT permission was denied on the object 'AbpBackgroundJobs', database 'FlaskDemoDb', schema 'dbo'.
You can open SQL Server Management Studio and go to Security > Logings and right click the IIS APPPOOL you have added for your app and click Properties. Then in hte opening window select "User Mapping" and grant db_owner permisison. Something like this;
