I was wondering that if your open source project asp.net boilerplate will also support angular 2 ? That would be great if so.

Probably in this month it will be released. I cannot say an exact date but probably in two weeks.

In two weeks or so there should be Angular 4 already which should be backward compatible with 2. So it is better to release Angular 4 with AOT, server side rendering, ngRx, webpack and all the best practices. Would you agree?

We will try that but I'm not sure about >Angular 4 should be backward compatible with 2 . anyway, we will do it later or sooner :).
