Xamarin - roadmap - offline and uwp support #4246

Suggest the team look into offline scenarios and uwp support.

Offline is something to impliment from the start.

Google some of the Xamarin University content on offline Xamarin they provide really good guidance and code on how to do it.

The github repository is public so sample can be downloaded.

    There is a lot of advice about Xamarin from our customers. We will consider all these advices. And we will set up a roadmap. Thanks for valuable advices.

    I agree, Offline management is a must have for a mobile app. I definitly vote for it ! Actually, I've implemented it in 2 different ways (but not on aspnetzero project) : 1 - with Azure web services 2 - with ServiceProxy and Repository classes > data is stored in simple file system

    SignalR integration would be very nice also to support notifications and chat.

    @Ricavir Thanks for your suggestions. In the next releases, we decided to implement some other features which are already exist in AspNet Zero's web app but not on the Xamarin app. After that, we will think on this.

    @alirizaadiyahsi well, please consider uwp. That would be awesome to be able to have a windows based admin client for many scenarios. Also, think of what would be done with Windows tablets for things like inventory and the like without having to use a web browser.

    Even Microsoft employees are not using Windows phones. So targeting UWP is a wasted effort.
