Hi,
I would like to updgrade my current zero project from v5 to v7. I already done an upgrade from zero v4 to v5.
This time, I don't want to update Metronic part. I want to remain with Metronic v5 (not current v6).
What do you suggest to do that ?

I don't suggest such an upgrade. I'm not %100 sure but you might have problems in the future if you want to update your project in the future.

Is there no migration suggestion to move from Metronic v5 to v6? I spent hours merging and all the new layouts are completely broken. Does this mean going from v6 to v7 of Zero reuqires a completely re-write of all views created with the RAD tool and re-evaluation of all changes made to framework views as well?

@deventerprise you are pointing out the worst side of zero.
Yes, you need to update all your templates even the ones made with RAD tool...
Going to v7 also means : removing all Jquery components Having color inconsistencies Font size issues ....
All that changes are not acceptable for my end users and this is why I decided to remain with old version... which is not a solution :(

Agreed, I'm also sticking to v6 as I spent hours upon hours trying to merge with no success. The equivalent of starting from scratch really so there is no realistic upgrade approach. Getting in touch with some third parties to get a quote on how much it will actually cost to finish a migration like this and based on my own costs it will be significant and not worth the effort.

Joke aside, I also contracted a third party to work on Metronic migration starting from my current project (zero v5). We came to a point where we have both Metronic assets v5 and v6... The project is very slow and I'm not confident for the final result !
On an other hand, I would like to merge my project with current zero version but let's be honnest, the current anglular UI is not qualitative enougth for a production delivery : colors are not consistent, font sizes are different, some themes are not well integrated, UI buggs, angular component limitation (due to JQuery cancellation)... This is far from original Metronic v6 demo that is beautiful.
For my company it is a huge issue ! We are not talking about a one shot product but a SAAS product with a lot of users... The risk is to loose users by doing such updates and even loose opportunities due to customer complain.
I really like developing with abp framework but this non updatable UI came to a blocking point from my side.
