Would it be OK to begin working on the server/database side? And if so which project template should we use? I did receive an email about .net core 1.1 and aspnetzero 2.2. Thank you.

Hi,

You can start to server side. You must use AspNet Core version.

But I suggest you to wait for one more week, in that case you will not have to move your code to new project.
