How can I upgrade to the new version 10 (.Net 5)? What is the best route? And also, is it recommended?

You can follow this document to upgrade your project https://docs.aspnetzero.com/en/common/latest/Version-Updating.
v10 is using .NET 5, so we suggest you to upgrade to it if there are no big problems during the update.
